Cris Cyborg will be heading to Santa Clara this weekend to witness the 75th Birthday Celebrations of legendary Martial Artist and fight scene choreographer Ernie Reyes Sr who is the Co-Founder and head instructor of the World Famous West Coast World Martial Arts where he has been teaching for more than 35 years with over 35 schools and 7,000 students under his teams affiliations.
GrandMaster Ernie Reyes began studying Tang Too Too in 1966 before transitioning into Tae Kwon Do and other martial arts such as Boxing, Kickboxing, Escrima, Knife and Wu Shu. Competing in Karate GrandMaster Reyes won the US National Tae Kwon Do Championships in 1977 and a bronze at the 1977 World Taekwondo Championships.
Working in the film industries GrandMaster Ernie Reyes Choreographed scenes in Surf Ninjas and The Last Dragon and a the TV show Sidekicks. While not in the film, Reyes portrayed Akuma in the arcade and console parts of the 1994 live action adaption of Street Fighter and has been featured on screen in movie roles Surf Ninjas and Secret Bodyguard.
Celebrations will be Held at the Santa Clara Convention Center, which will be hosting a lively, impactful, and exciting celebration, where guest speakers, thrilling performances, and a grand time to honor and commemorate 75 years of age to Great Grandmaster Reyes
