Bellator 251 will continue the tradition of Thursday Night Fights this holiday season on CBS Sports Network as Corey Anderson will be making his promotional debut against European MMA legend Melvin Manhoef. Manhoef a veteran of combat sports has a confirmed Mixed Martial Arts record of 32 wins, 14 losses and 1 Draw. Anderson who owns a win over UFC Lightweight Champion Jan Blachowicz at UFC 191 will be making his first fight with Bellator MMA after leaving the UFC as a Free Agent ranked #4 in their LightHeavyweight division after losing a rematch to now current UFC Champion Blachowicz last February. Also featured at Bellator 251 will be the 8-1 Arizona Combat Sports standout Tyrell Fortune who will be facing 6-1 heavyweight Said Sowma out of American Top Team by way of Suriname. Austin Vanderford will be facing CFFC Chamion Vinicius De Jesus who accepted the bout on short notice.
The preliminary card will feature Georgi Karakhanyan against Bryce Logan. Karakhanyan is a 17x Bellator MMA veteran and always puts on an action packed pace and will be a tough test for the 12-4 Bryce Logan out of Power MMA. Brazilian Killys Mota will be making his second fight in the Bellator MMA cage as the 12-1 light weight will look to keep his win streak against 10x Bellator MMA vet Derek Anderson, winner of his last 2. A female featherweight fight between two MMA veterans will also be featured as Janay Harding takes on Jessy Miele. Harding who at 26 years of age is already a veteran of 10 professional fights is another young Australian looking to progress her way up the rankings. With notable wins over Sinead Kavanagh and Ramona Pascual a victory over Jessy Miele would do a lot to erase her performance against Amanda Bell in a lot of fans minds. Jessy Miele is from Connecticut and will be competing for the first time after losing a decision to former Bellator MMA champion Julia Budd at Bellator 244 after defeating BJJ Black Belt Talita Nogueira and UFC Veteran Elizabeth Phillips as part of a 4 fight winning streak.
