UFC Fight night 128 is going down from Atlantic City New Jersey tonight, and while the fight card is underway we will continue to bring updates to all the fans on the results. Corey Anderson 9-4 overall but loser of 3 of his last 4 needed this win entering into the Octagon after tough outings against Ovince St. Preux and Jimi Manuwa resulted in KO losses.
Pattrick Cummins a collegiate wrestler before transitioning into MMA had his own 1-3 skid with losses to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Glover Teixeira, and Ovince St. Preux interrupted with a win over Rafael Cavalcante. Since that 1-3 skid however Cummins has put together back to back decision wins over Gian Vilante and Jan Blachowicz.
Corey Anderson came out in this fight and showed his aggressiveness in a BIG WAY! After getting behind the jab early Anderson started landing huge shots including elbows and knees, opening up a cut above the eye of Cummins securing the only two takedowns of the openings round. Round 2 saw Corey Anderson stay aggressive using his offense as Pattrick Cummins started to look fatigued. Corey Anderson again was able to secure multiple takedowns including a super slam as the round closed. Round three Anderson showed his improved grappling as he put forth an impressive display of wrestling and submission grappling in his way to a decision victory. 30-26,30-26,30-27 was an impressive showing on the score cards by Corey Anderson.
