Jake Paul changed Women’s Boxing when he signed Amanda Serrano, and with a new roster of more up and coming Women fighters it appears Most Valuable Promotions is doubling down on their investment in Female Combat Sports. Jake Paul and Most Valuable Promotions announced the signing of undisputed women’s junior lightweight champion Alycia Baumgardner to a multi fight deal.
While no official fights were announced for Alycia Baumgardner it would be logical to expect to see her on the undercard of Katie Taylor X Amanda Serrano 3 which will be broadcasted live on Netflixs. Baumgardner is 15-1 in professional boxing with 7 Ko’s and is considered one of the top female boxing talents in the entire sport.
Baumbgardner turned pro in 2017 and blew up when she knocked out Terri Harper to capture the WBC Women’s Junior Lighterweight belt back in 2021. Alycia became undisputed winning the WBO belt against Edith Matthysse, the IBF Belt from Mikaela Mayer, and the WBA belt from Elhem Mekhaled.
“MVP is strategically building a roster of fighters who deliver the W both inside and outside the ring, and we are thrilled to welcome Alycia to the family as our newest women’s world champion,” said Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, co-founders of Most Valuable Promotions, in a statement to ESPN. “Alycia is a one of the premier athletes in combat sports and signing her is a meaningful accomplishment for our promotion as we now have exclusive relationships with 2 of the top 5 boxers in the world. We look forward to Alyicia’s MVP debut and are actively evaluating the right timing and event for her return to the ring.”
