There is never a shortage of excitement in the UFC, but even by this standard 2025 is shaping up to be a special year. The field of competitors is very strong at the moment, and many of them will have an opportunity to earn lasting glory by winning big-time matches. Some of these bouts will decide champions, giving the fans great reasons to keep actively following the upcoming UFC Fight Nights.

With so much must-see action coming up, fans need to prepare and circle the dates featuring the fights they are most intrigued about. The following selection is a good start – you will find some big names, ongoing rivalries, and high-stakes encounters on the list.

March 8th 2025 – Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev

The bout that will decide the UFC Heavyweight Champion will be held in the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and feature two former middleweight champions who moved up a couple of classes. The 37-year old Pereira had an illustrious career and looks to add more accolades to his already enviable resume, but it remains to be seen whether his famed athleticism is still on a high enough level. His opponent is full five years younger and has a reputation as a fluid fighter that also packs a lot of power. The fight will headline the UFC 313 event which has a few more big names attached, making this night a real treat for mixed martial arts fans.

March 22nd – Leon Edwards vs. Jack Della Maddalena

Anything could happen in this welterweight fight between two uncompromising competitors who are used to high-profile showdowns. At the age of 33 and with the status of a former champion, Edwards looks like a major force and he will have the support from the home crowd as the fight will be held in the O2 Arena in London. Della Maddalena will likely be a tough opponent, as evidenced by his 17 wins in 19 official matches. While this bout will not result in a championship for the winner, the stakes are high enough for the atmosphere to be very heated. It represents a great opportunity to place UFC bets Canada sports betting operators are currently accepting.

March 29th – Brandon Moreno vs. Steve Erzeg

MMA fans in Mexico will be able to root for one of their own when the local hero Moreno steps into the octagon to face Erzeg. The UFC on ESPN event that will include the flyweight fight between the two rivals mentioned above was entrusted to Mexico City, and will be organised at the Arena CDMX. Moreno was the first Mexican ever to win an UFC title, so he already knows what it takes to get to the top and is still in top physical shape at age 31. The Australian fighter Erzeg is a relative newcomer to the promotion and is still looking to make his mark, so he is likely to put in extra effort to beat the better known opponent and gain some recognition.

April 12th 2025 – Alexandre Pantoya vs. Kai Kara-France

If you prefer faster action focused more on skill than raw power, you will absolutely enjoy this title fight in the flyweight category. Brazilian-born Pantoya is the current champion and resides in the top 10 in pound-for-pound rankings so he is the favorite going into the match. He will meet a determined foe in New Zealander Kara-France, who is a well-known knockout threat despite his small stature. Both fighters are highly experienced, so this match could well be decided on a tactical level. This fight will be a part of UFC 314 which will be hosted at the Kaseya Center in Miami and include a half dozen more pairings on the same card.

April 26th – Ikram Aliskerov vs. Andre Muniz

While we are still waiting for the official confirmation, all signs are pointing towards the twice delayed middleweight fight finally happening during the UFC Fight Night 257 event. Aliskerov is an experienced mixed martial arts pro from Russia who has an impressive record of 15 wins and just 2 losses for his career. On the opposite side will be Muniz, a veteran fighter from Brazil who debuted in the UFC in 2019 and has already collected 24 wins in 30 tries. This event will be hosted at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, with several other interesting matchups scheduled in addition to the Muniz vs. Aliskerov fight.
