Muay Thai legend and former UFC Champion GDR- Germaine De Randamie is retiring from combat sports. In a post made to Instagram the long time combat sports legend and the first UFC Featherweight Champion GDR announced she is moving on to the next chapter of her life.
Now 40 years of age and competing since 2020 Randamie who had a son withh her partner before making a return to fight Norma Dumont went on to ask for another UFC fight however was told all the fight cards until the end of the year are already booked.
Randamie who used the slogan ‘Die with memories, not dreams’ really did leave a remarkable career worthy of any combat sports Hall of fame which included 46 Muay Thai wins without a defeat before crossing into MMA where she had notable wins over UFC champions Julianna Pena, Raquel Pennington, and Holly Holm.
While Randamie would ultimately vacate her championship belt instead of fight Cris Cybrog at 145lbs how do you think the fight would have turned out? Do you believe Cyborg would have defeated GDR in an MMA fight if they fought?
