
The Professional Fighters League has launched their Challenger Series which allows athletes to fight fora nopportunity at a PFL Season contract and a chance at the 1 million dollar, life changing cash prize. Tonights PFL event will feature eight fighters in the Women’s Featherweight division.
Cris Cyborg who is the only Grand Slam Champion of the sport after winning World Championships in the Featherweight division for Strikeforce, Invicta FC, UFC, and the Bellator MMA promotions, had this to say about the PFL featuring the 145lbs female weight category, “I am glad to see the PFL commit to Women’s MMA and giving females the opportunity to compete at a healthy weight without being forced to complete extreme weight cuts just to have the chance to compete and showcase their abilities.”
The main event will feature Grappling superstar Amanda Leve against standout Naranjargal Tsendayush of Mongolia. The event will feature 3 additional featherweight matchups with Cris Cyborg’s teammate Shaquita Woods making her professional MMA debut against Kayla Harrison protege Michelle Montague. The other two matchups include a battle of undefeated prospects as Jeslen Mishelle faces Evelyn Martins and a matchup between veterans Jackie Cataline against Senna Van De Veerdonk
