Boxing’s rising star Terence Crawford has injured his hand and is no longer going to be able to fight April 14th against the man who recently beat Manny Pacquiao and the former Olympian Jeff Horn. Horn who is 18-0-1 in boxing will still fight Crawford however the date will be sometime in May or June according to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum.
The fight was scheduled to take place inside the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, and was going to be an opportunity for Crawford to showcase his skills outside of his home state of Nebraska while giving Horn a chance to continue building his name stateside following his upset victory over Pacquiao in Australia.
Crawford who hurt his hand while sparring by hitting a guy on the top of the head gear will still be able to compete this just delayed the bout a month or two after doctors revealed there was no ligament tear or fractures in the hand. The added month or two caused by the injury will give promoter Bob Arum an opportunity too help promote the fight better to the public. Fans are wanting to see Crawford step up and fight Keith Thurman or Errol Spence Jr however at this time we will get to see him face Jeff Horn.
