Fans of Cris Cyborg were happy to see that her Co Main event placement on the Terence Crawford Vs David Avenseyan seems to have helped draw some eyes to the debut BLK Prime Pay Per View event as PR.Com is reporting that the event headlined by Terence Crawford did over 125,000 Global Buys.
Crawford who was fighting for the startup BLK Prime streaming service had the Boxing fight available on In Demand, Direct TV, and Dish network. While no official statements have been made by BLK prime, the event appears to have been a success with over 14,630 tickets being sold for the fight making it the highest attending combat sporting event in the history of the state of Nebraska selling almost 1500 more tickets than Crawford’s last Omaha fight against the Badboy Jose Benavidez Jr who shoved him a the weigh in’s, to which Crawford answered with a full swing to help promote the fight.
Currently the full fight on Youtube of Terence Crawford X Dave Avanesyan has over 450,000 views while the Cris Cyborg X Gabby Holloway has over 265,000 organic views. With Terence Crawford trending on Twitter for over two weeks, the startup BLK PRIME was fortunate to grab two social media savvy fighters in the Main and CO Main event bouts. Cyborg did an entire promotion for the fight on both her OF and Youtube channels.
Cyborg who is MMA’s only Grand Slam Champion has also stated a return to Showtime Sports Bellator MMA against an expected matchup against Cat Zingano is also expected.
