Sheetera Mayra Buena Silva suffered a gnarly gash in her last fight which forced the ref to call the doctor into check the injury and ultimately led to the fight being stopped giving the victory to Macy Chiasson via Ref stoppage. Following the stoppage Mayra Bueno Silva climbed onto the cage which led to her being fined $2,500 by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
The fine is technically temporary as it was announced at the monthly comission hearing after receiving direct instructions not to leave the fight surface. A complete decision on the sanction has not been handed out yet as Silva will have an opportunity to appear on a future meeting agenda where any potential fines or suspension can officially be approved.
Sheetera was paid a reported fight purse of 100K for the performance. The fine makes her the 2nd porminant fighter to receive this fine in recent months as Diego lopes received a 2500$ fine for leaping the UFC 300 cage, ultimately having 5K initially announced before a lower fine was imposed at the meeting
