Conor McGregor was one of the founders of Proper Twelve Whiskey back in 2018, however after the latest court ruling it now appears he will no longer be associated with the brand.  Tuesday the parent company of Proper Twelve, Proximo Spirits publicly announced they will no longer feature Conor McGregor in any of their ads or have his image in any branding according to reports from the Irish Independent.

In 2021 Proximo bought a 100% ownership of the Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey brand and they announced that “Going forward we do not plan to use Mr. McGregor’s name and likeness in the marketing of the brand.”  This announcement came after the ruling that McGregor was liable for a 2018 sexual assault of a women named Nikita Hand which took place inside a Dublin Hotel.  Damages of approximately $260,000 were awarded to the victim.

While McGregor has maintained his innocence and plans to appeal the decision, a jury only needed a little over 6 hours to return their verdict after hearing from expert testimony which included doctors, physiologist, and Hand herself.   Conor McGregor was also cut by the IO Interactive parent company which makes the “hitman” video game announcing that Conor McGregor will no longer be a purchasable character in the game.

Conor McGregor who was once a double champion in the UFC had his lightweight belt stripped for not defending the title, and has struggled to return to his winning ways after a 2016 victory over Eddie Alvarez, since that time McGregor has gone 1-4 including a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather suffering TKO or submission losses in all 4 of his defeats.
