Cris Cyborg promotes California’s first Female state Champion! July 2nd Santa Ana California
Cris Cyborg has announced her partnership with South Coast Mitsubishi and Juliano Prado’s GET DOWN FIGHTS to present the historic 1st Female California Amateur Mixed Martial Arts State Championships as sanctioned by CAMO July 2nd at the Yost Theatre in Santa Ana, Ca.
The Main Event will feature top ranked Female Bantamweight prospect Brooke Mayo (5-1) of Team Black MMA facing 2x World Nogi Champion and ADCC Veteran Mayra Mazza of Alliance Sao Paulo Brasil for the inaugural 135lbs CAMO state Championship Belt.
In the Co Main Event California’s #10 ranked Strawweight, Jasmine Pouncy of Nubian MMA will welcome Adelita McGrath of Check Mat USA to the division. McGrath a BJJ Purple Belt is currently the #1 ranked Bantamweight in the state according to CAMO but will be making her debut in the new weight division to compete for the inaugural Championship Belt.
The event will feature a 5 fight male undercard headlined by 8 female bouts on the main card. With Broadcast Partner KDOC TV Genesis- Get Down Fights 22 will be available in almost 6 million homes throughout Southern California. Other broadcast attending the event to film highlights include; AXS TV’s Inside MMA and the Direct TV, award winning documentary: Religion of Sports.
