Tony Ferguson wasn’t the only high profile UFC fighter to have to withdraw from a fight this week, Cyborg Nation is disappointed to report that Matt Brown has been removed from his UFC Glendale fight against Carlos Condit with an injury.
Matt Brown a veteran of 39 fights was set to have his 25th fight in the UFC, before suffering a torn ACL that has forced him out of his upcoming bout with Condit. Condit who is 7-7 in the UFC and 30-11 overall is still expected to be on UFC on FOX 29, with early rumors indicating Tim Means as a possible replacement.
UFC on Fox 29 is scheduled for April 14th at the Gila River Arena in Glendale Arizona with the card scheduled to broadcasted on BIG FOX and the undercard on UFC Fightpasss. This fight was scheduled for UFC on FOX once before, however in 2013 Matt Brown suffered a back injury which force him out of the fight.
Wish it was all April Fools but I did tear my acl over the weekend. I hope @CarlosCondit gets an opponent and doesn’t have to lose out on the opportunity. We’ll do it for sure when I’m back. #thirdtimeisacharm
