Kayla Harrison appeared on Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour broadcast in the lead up to her April 13th UFC 300 debut against former UFC Champion and Boxing Hall of Famer Holly Holm.
Ariel approached Kayla about comments made implying Kayla Harrison turned down a fight against Cris Cyborg for Riyhad Saudi Arabia on the PFL X Bellator MMA fight card which took place this past Feb. 24th. Harrison who grabbed the mic after her PFL win over Aspen Ladd and called for a showdown with Cris Cyborg then went on to sign a bout agreement to face Holly Holm for about a fourth of the fight purse.
Harrison told Ariel Helwani ‘I’ll fight Cris Cyborg after UFC 300 in the parking lot since she is probably going to be in Holly’s corner if that is what she wants to do.”
Cyborg took to ‘X’ to reply with, “I don’t think@KaylaH is going to be in any condition to be fighting anyone immediately after UFC 300″–going on to note “Holly Holm is a lot better than Judo Kayla realizes and 135lbs is a completely different speed than 155lbs.
Cris Cyborg has been in Albuquerque New Mexico as part of JacksonWink MMA’s training camp helping Holly Holm prepare to fight Judo Kayla while also preparing for her own fight as Cris Cyborg returns to the sport of Boxing April 27th in Green Bay Wisconsin as the Main Event of Green Bay Fight Night.
