Champ Cris Cyborg took to social media today to let fans know that despite already being in a training camp and preparing to face the undefeated Kelsey Wickstrum, currently ranked #3 in the USA for professional boxing in her return to the squared circle Jan. 19th in Temecula CA she was willing and able to accept a fight against Kayla Harrison on a date, and location offered to her by Pete Murray the CEO of the Professional Fighters League.
While no other details were given, other than the fact that the MMA Grand Slam Champion was “Disappointed” that after accepting the fight the offer did not materialize. Now entering her 19th year of professional fighting, Cris Cyborg is the biggest brand in female fighting and is the only professional fighter Male or Female to win all 4 of the Major World Championships in the same weight category; Bellator MMA, UFC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce.
I am disappointed to hear that after @PeteMurrayPFL offered me the date and location for a fight against @KaylaH and after we accepted the bout that she has now declined the offer. pic.twitter.com/c105tdyyH2

Kayla has been very quiet on social media following her November victory over Aspen Ladd. Asserting herself on the microphone Judo Kayla shouted for a fight with Cris Cyborg claiming that she was “unwilling to wait” for Cris before she returns to fighting. It now appears, at least for the time being that Kayla’s priorities are somewhere else outside of proving she is the best inside of the cage.
When asked about the situation with Kayla Harrison, Cyborg had this to say, “There are 1,000’s of ways to say No and there is only 1 way to say Yes. Whatever she wants to say, there is only one way to make this fight happen and the promoter already has the ‘Yes’ from me.”
What do you think Cyborg Nation will we see Cris Cyborg Vs Kayla Harrison in 2024 or will we see the long time MMA champion finish her career with a super fight against Larissa Pachecho?
