Just announced Edson Barboza is fighting Kevin Lee in Atlantic City

There are not many lightweights as exciting to watch fight as Edson Barboza and Kevin Lee.  UFC Matchmakers have decided to place both against one another as the main event of UFC Atlantic City which is going down April 21st. Reports first surfaced last week from Ariel Helwani that the two could be matched up for UFC Fight Night 128, however reports have been confirmed.

Barboza last fought at UFC 219, the same night Cris Cyborg faced Holly Holm.  Barboza lost a unanimous decision against Khabib Nurmagomedov in a bout where he displayed amazing toughness and determination.  Prior to that fight Barboza had won 3 in a row with victories over Anthony Pettis, Gilbert Melendez, and Beneil Dariush.

Lee’s last fight was against UFC 223 Interim Champion Tony Ferguson.  At UFC 216 Lee suffered a loss to Ferguson for the Interim Belt, which put a stop to his 5 fight wining streak.  UFC FN 128 is scheduled to Air on FS1 and has had a bout between Jim Miller and Dan Hooker already announced for April 21st in Atlantic City.
