GDR who became a Combat Sports superstar in Muay Thai before heading into MMA eventually defeated Holly Holm to become the UFC’s first female Featherweight Champion, a title she never defended and vacated before Cris Cyborg would eventually capture the gold.

Now 40 and having returned to the sport following the addition of a child to her family, Germaine De Randamie is closer to the end of her career than the beginning however.
It was with disappointment that Germaine De Randamie broke the news that injury has forced her out of her upcoming Sept. 28th fight at UFC Paris where she was scheduled to face Nora Cornolle in the bantamweight division. Citing a broken finger and a fractured foot as the cause of her withdrawal. Jacquelin Cavlcanti is expected to replace her for the bout against Cornolle Sept. 28th.
