Former UFC and Bellator MMA Champion Ben Henderson might be done fighting in MMA, however the Combat Sports legend does not appear to be done competing. Henderson who held the UFC Lightweight Champion from 2012-2013 is tied with Khabib Nurmagomedov, BJ Penn, and Islam Makhachev for most consecutive title defenses.
Henderson who fought Usman Nurmagomedov in 2023 for his final appearance in Bellator MMA went on to compete in Karate Combat and will now be taking his striking expertise to the Boxing ring where he will face Chris Avila of Diaz Boxing academy.
Avila is 6-1 in boing with wins over Anthony Pettis, Jeremy Stephens, Paul Bamba, Anthony Taylor, and Jake Bostwick. The event will take place on a Misfits boxing card and will feature Elle Brooke against Jenny Savage who is a BKFC veteran. The card is scheduled for Sept. 14th in Newcastle England on DAZN.
