
Big news in the combat sports world as two of the biggest names in the industry Luke Rockhold and Eddie Alvarez finding a new home inside of the BKFC Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships Both of these fighters are former UFC Champions and BKFC founder Dave Feldman announced on the Ariel Helwani MMA Hour show that they have signed exclusive BKB fight contracts with both athletes.
Rockhold is 16-6 in pro MMA and will face fellow former UFC fighter Mike Perry who has now had 3 consecutive BKB wins including an impressive showing over Bellator MMA star Michael Venom Page. Also announced was former Bellator MMA, UFC Champion Eddie Alvarez against former UFC Title Contender Chad Mendes who fought Conor McGregor in the UFC and currently is 1-0 in Bare knuckle boxing.
Taking place April 29th in Colorado the event will also feature Christine Ferea with her 6-1 record in bareknuckle boxing facing former Ultimate Fighter contestant and UFC veteran Rowdy Bec Rawlings who is 3-1 in pro BKB before suffering a loss in her pro boxing debut this past december against Natasha Kurene on the Gold Coast. Superheavyweight Ben Rothwell has also been announced for the fight card however no opponent has been named yet. All the bouts are expected to be 5 rounds of 2 minutes.
