MMA’s only Grand Slam Champion Cris Cyborg earned that distinction by becoming the only professional fighter in the history of MMA to win every significant Championship in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. Current Bellator MMA Featherweight Champion, Cyborg has held that belt for the UFC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce promotions making her the winningest 145lbs fighter ever. A 2x IBJJ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion and an ADCC Medalist, Cris Cyborg will be looking for her first submission victory Oct. 15th when she steps into the cage for Bellator 249.
Bellator 249 taking place at the Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut will feature Cris Cyborg against former 2x World Boxing Champion Arlene Blencowe in the main event. Blencowe who has won 3 in a row since her controversial split decision loss to Julia Budd will be fighting for the Bellator MMA Featherweight Championship for the 2nd time in her career. The Australian MMA Standout will be looking to prove she is Australia’s best Featherweight ahead of Megan Anderson’s upcoming Dec. 12th bout against Amanda Nunes.
