
Showtime Boxing went out with a bang with their last Pay Per View event. In a blockbuster fight David Benavidez put on a display of punching power and aggression which thrilled sold out crowd inside of the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas. Both Benavidez and Demetrius Andrade entered into the ring with undefeated records. Benavidez placed his WBC interim super middleweight title on the line, which by getting a victory gave him the mandatory matchup against Canelo Alvarez the WBC Super middleweight belt.
Benavides who is a heavy puncher attacked the body of Andrade and his his ring movement to keep pressuring forward with strong hard punching power. Andrade for his efforts tried his best to Bully back the bully in Benavidez pressuring the mexican fighter against the ropes in round three before putting together more agression and attacks.
A low blow from Benavidez stopped the action in the fourth and then the punching power of Benavidez started to show as Andrade started walking back with the power showing. In the 5th round Benavidez kept up where he left off causing the ringside doctor to check on Andrade in between round 5 and 6. Round 6 became the end of the fight as the ref check on Andrade before the corner eventually stopped the bout.
Cyborg will be heading to the Benavidez boxing gym to start training camp for her Jan 19th return to the Boxing ring where she will face the #3 ranked female fighter in the USA in her 3rd professional boing fight at the Pechanga Casino in Temecula CA.
