
Cris Cyborg made history October 19th when she became the first fighter; male or female to capture 5 MMA promotional championship belts. Winning the PFL MMA Championship belt against 2x PFL Tournament Champion Larissa Pacheco made Cris Cyborg the PFL Super Fight Champion.
A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Cris Cyborg already won Featherweight championships with Bellator MMA, UFC, Invicta FC, and Strikeforce. Erasto Gaertner Children’s hospital is considered the largest children’s cancer treatment facility in the South of Brazil.
In 2017 when Cris Cyborg captured the UFC Championship belt, she gifted the hospital her championship, which is still on display in the hospital today for those fighting cancer to see as they prepare for treatment.
Speaking to CrisCyborg.Com the champ had this to say, “Those fighting Cancer are the real champions. Erasto Gaertner is making such a difference in so many lives that it is my honor to visit the facility in Curitiba and bring my 5th World Championship to visit. The doctors, nurses and the entire staff are doing miracles everyday and it was an honor to come and take photos with real life heroes.
