Claressa Shields went across the pond to challenge the only fighter to defeat her during her amateur career and this time she proved a point as to who the better fighter is. Winning the fight by a wide margin Shields scored 97-93 and two 96-94 score cards making her undisputed middleweight champion for the second time in her career, having held all 4 of the belts in 2019 and 2020 as well.
Shields fight card also featured Alycia Baumgardner, Mikaela Mayer, Caroline Dubois and several other women who are helping bring Women’s Boxing into an era of premier fights. Fighting in front of 20,000 fans at the O2 Arena in London, Claressa Shields put on one of the most exciting fights in all of Boxing for 2022.
