Bellator MMA continues the tradition of stacked events as they head to Ireland today for Bellator 285 marking the second time the promotion has been to Ireland in 2022. The main event which will feature Irish fighter Peter Queally against former UFC Champion Ben Henderson, while the Co Main event will be a retirement fight for longtime MMA legend Melvin Manhoef who will be facing former UFC Title challenger Yoel Romero in a bout that was rescheduled from Bellator 280.
Taking place at the 3Arena in Dublin Ireland the fight card will also feature the Bellator MMA debut of Cris Cyborg’s promotional Grand Prix tournament winner Arivaldo ‘Canica’ Silva who will be facing top rated Irish Bantamweight Brian Moore in a featured bout on the Preliminary card which will be showcased live on Youtube before the main card starts on Showtime sports starting at 10am PST
Cyborg who is the Bellator MMA Champion state ‘Even though I am focused on my professional Boxing debut this week in Curitiba Brazil, I will be watching Bellator 185 very closely to see the outcome of the Leah McCourt fight. McCourt who is currently ranked 5th in the Bellator MMA Featherweight rankings has a professional record of 6-2 and is considered a rising star in the division.
Following the preliminary fight action fans can switch to SHOWTIME SPORTS to watch the main card which features Peter Queally Vs Benson Henderson, Yoel Romero against Melvin Manhoef, Leah McCourt battling Brazilian Dayana Silva, Mads Burnell against Pedro Carvalho and Ciaran Clarke against Rafael Hudson.
